Privacy Policy

The short version: We collect only what we need to run the app. We do not sell your data. Ever. Your journal entries and personal reflections are yours — we treat them that way.

1. Who This Applies To

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of Still Saved™, operated by Inajane Creative. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

2. What We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, a hashed (encrypted) version of your password, and optionally your first name if you provide it.

Usage data: We may collect information about how you use the App — which features you access, how often, and general interaction patterns — to improve your experience.

Content you submit: Text you enter into the App (rants, journal entries, check-ins) is processed by our AI to generate responses. This content is not stored permanently by default unless you save it to your library.

Subscription data: If you subscribe, we collect billing-related information through Stripe (web/Android) or Apple (iOS). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

Device information: Basic device and platform information may be collected for app functionality and crash reporting.

3. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your location
We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone without your explicit permission (voice features require microphone access, which you control)
We do not build advertising profiles on you
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties

4. How We Use Your Information

To create and maintain your account
To generate AI responses personalized to what you share
To process subscription payments
To send you app-related emails (account confirmations, important updates)
To improve the App through anonymized, aggregated usage analysis
To add you to our email list in MailerLite if you sign up (you can unsubscribe at any time)

5. Third-Party Services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate the App:

OpenAI — Powers the AI responses. Your submitted text is sent to OpenAI for processing per their Privacy Policy. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models by default.
Stripe — Handles payment processing for web and Android subscriptions. See their Privacy Policy.
Apple — Handles in-app purchases on iOS. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
MailerLite — Used to send email communications. You can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are hashed using SHA-256 with a server-side salt before storage. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

8. Children's Privacy

Still Saved™ is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the effective date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
